Tim Reynolds

The Senate passed their 1099 repeal bill a few weeks ago, with a "pay for" using unspent money from the 2010 budget.

The House will vote on their bill probably this week. There are 2 versions of the House bill, one with no "pay for" and one that is the same as the Senate's bill.

So, the big question is which one will the House vote for! If the Senate version passes we will see 1099 repeal very quickly. However, if the other version passes we will see negotiations in the conference.

I was in D.C. last week and my impression is everyone is confident the repeal will happen, just not sure about when. I say, it ain't repealed until it is. So, keep the pressure on and urge your Representative to vote for the Senate version of the bill!
