Another good recommendation is to use your cell phone to take pictures of everything that you might need later. This includes your baggage claim check, the area around your parking space at the airport, the license # on the rental car, etc. And take a picture of the hotel room door (with the number).

You are less likely to lose your cell than anything else. These pictures can come in handy when you cannot remember a detail or have lost the information.


These are great tips! I think it's especially important for many people to bring along a conference buddy, especially because the thought of going alone and networking that way can be daunting. Sometimes, you need that buffer, just in case.
