NSBA Launches Small Business Voting Initiative

NSBA-votingDid you know that there are 70 million people in the U.S. that run or work for a small business?

That’s one-third of the U.S. voting population, so why is small business so often an afterthought?

The National Small Business Association (NSBA) is committed to representing America’s small businesses, and in their efforts to strengthen their collective small-business voice, they recently launched a new get-out-the-vote initiative as part of their 70 Million Strong and Voting campaign.

The goal of the 70 Million Strong get-out-the-vote initiative is to provide employers with a toolkit of resources and information to make it easier to talk to your employees – and to avoid getting into any trouble in doing so.

Among the key resources: a voting poster to hang in employee break rooms that talks about the importance of voting; a how-to on talking to your employees about politics; myriad voting resources for your employees; and much more.

NSBA-leadershipcouncilTo get your voice heard, you can also join the NSBA Leadership Council, a forum for recognized leaders in the small-business community to communicate together on issues that are important to small- and mid-sized firms.

Tim Reynolds, president of Tribute, Inc. and NSBA Leadership Council Chair, believes that it's important for small businesses to join together so their concerns are recognized.

"Together, there are 70 million people in the U.S. who work for or run a small business. Together, our voice is powerful. We need your activism, expertise and leadership to ensure policymakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country know we are the fabric that makes America strong," states Reynolds.
