Watch out for Distributor Scams!
One of our go-to distribution industry experts, Frank Hurtte, founder of River Heights Consulting and the former president of the Association of High Technology Distributors (AHTD), has an informative blog called The Distributor Channel.
With regular posts on issues relevant to industrial distributors, he writes insightful articles and books utilizing his years of experience in the automation manufacturing and distribution industry.
Recently he wrote about a prevalent problem now hitting the distribution industry - scamming. His article, Scams in the Distribution Business, highlights how scammers are now requesting distributors for product pretending to be a regular customer, having it shipped to the scammer's address then never paying for the product.

With scammers getting increasingly savvy, it pays to be diligent and to notify your customer service reps to be wary of these tactics.
